Record merging
D365CE allows us to merge records into one, deactivating the obsolete record. The Raptor integration will adapt during a merge by performing following actions:
Example: Account A and Account B are merged (keeping Account A as the master)
- All documents that contain the Raptor tag for Account B will receive the Account A tag
- The Account B tag will be deleted from the taxonomy
If the right entity relations are configured in Raptor, merging will automatically take linked entities in account.
Example: Account A is merged with Account B, which also has an opportunity linked to it. The relation Opportunity -> Account is configured in Raptor.
All documents added to Account B’s opportunity will have received both the Opportunity tag as the Account B tag. Thus when the accounts are merged, the documents of the opportunity are automatically included and linked to Account A.
